July Meeting Honors Local WW II Veterans

We were very pleased and honored to have five (5) local World War II veterans at our July meeting. A photo may be viewed on the Welcome Page of our website. Each veteran shared a few memories from their time serving in WW II. Everyone present listened very intently with great interest as each veteran spoke to our club members.
We are all very proud and grateful for their service to our country which helped preserve the freedom we enjoy today. |
Active Member of Club Passes Away

It is with great sorrow that we report the death of one of our club members. Mrs. Lottie Crumpler passed away on July 13, 2007. Please pray for her husband, Harold, and all of the family during this time of sadness. |
Trip to Ronald McDonald House

On Tuesday, a 1/2 day trip is planned to visit the local Ronald McDonald House in Greenville, NC. Canned and dry goods will be donated to the House and also a monetary donation will be given to the staff at the House.

PANCAKE SUPPER - A HUGE SUCCESS

On Friday, March 23 our club had its first of two pancake suppers scheduled for this year. With the help of all of our members and the cooperation with the people in our communities, we had a very successful event. We made a profit of over $1,000.00!! This is the most we have ever made on our pancake suppers. Thanks to everyone who helped make this event a great suceess. Of course, our communities will appreciate our success because we will putting this money back into our communities. |

At our April meeting we were privileged to add another name to our club membership. Mrs. Patricia Pittman expressed a desire to join up with us! Of course, we gladly received her into our club. Welcome Patricia!! |
